Come check out some of Orlando's most talented bartenders and experience bourbon used in ways you would never imagine. Enjoy entertainment, food, and libations as the bartenders try their hand at becoming the next Master of the Manhattan. We will be sending the winner of our Regional semi-final to Woodford Reserve in March to represent the Sunshine State. Liquor.com in conjunction with the USBG will be hosting a nationwide search for bartenders who are passionate about Bourbon, the Manhattan cocktail, Woodford Reserve and what it means to create a truly meaningful cocktail experience. Over the course of this search there will be multiple phases that test the ability of the country's best bartenders, beginning with competitions across 33 cities, continuing to a semi-final educational event in Kentucky and concluding at the finale event in Manhattan.
THIS IS A FREE EVENT! MUST HAVE A TICKET TO ATTEND.
Competing bartenders will submit two recipes:
RECIPE ONE:
An original cocktail that uses Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.
RECIPE TWO:
The competing bartenders' version of a classic Manhattan, using Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select Bourbon.
The event is one of 34 regional live, local competitions help across the United States and Canada. Liquor.com and the USBG will send six finalists to New York City to compete in the finale for a chance to be crowned the winner of the Manhattan Experience.
What is a Manhattan? A Manhattan is a cocktail made with whiskey, sweet vermouth , and bitters. Each Manhattan is stirred over ice, strained into a chilled glass, garnished, and served straight up. Find bourbon used in ways you would never imagine.
